Der traditionalle Niklasmarkt eröffnet die Weihnachtssaison. Festliche Buden, wunderschöne Dekoration mit Laternen, Kerzen und Feuerkörben und reichhaltiges Musikprogramm auf der weihnachtlichen Naturbühne unterstreichen die besinnliche Atmosphäre. Christkindlpostamt, nostalgische Eisenbahn im Brunnenhof, lebende Krippe und Pferdekutschenfahrten sorgen für glänzende Kinderaugen. Die Aufführung der "Niklasspende" traditionell donnerstag um 18:30 Uhr, erinnert an den letzten Herrn und tapferen Ritter von Abensberg, den legendären Grafen Niklas und die von ihm eingeführte Spende für die Armen erinnert. Der Graf und sein Gefolge verteilen dann Niklas-Lebkuchen an die Kinder.
